Family Day 15 May
Family gives us a lot: spiritual closeness, support, happy moments, mutual help and understanding. Being in the family, the child learns to accept himself and others, to respect people and the world around him, to express emotions and resolve conflicts, feels like a part of a big whole, understands that he will always come to the rescue.
An important part of this layer of knowledge obtained in the family is family values. These can be traditions, the manner of communication between family members, the way to resolve conflicts, the distribution of responsibilities, and much more. Sometimes the value becomes something that is not obvious to an outsider, but for you it is of the greatest importance.
Their main purpose is to bring together all the members of the same group, to ensure continuity between generations, to help show individuality. The list of basic family values, without a doubt, will be unique for each family and will contain an infinite number of items and sub-items.
Why do I need to show values and talk about them?
Each of us should have a clear understanding of the family values that contribute to strengthening the foundation for creating a strong and friendly family. The elders will have to make an effort to convey to the baby the importance of values.
Your own example works well: if you are not attached to the tradition or even strongly against it, the child will feel it and will be disoriented.
How can I do this?
A universal recipe is a strong personal example, sincere conversations and trusting relationships. But there are also some tips that will undoubtedly help:
Be open – tell your child about your life and the lives of previous generations.
Come up with new values together with your child.
Have dinner together.
Say hello and say goodbye with joy, sincerely.
Leave cute messages if you can’t be around.
Traditional family values are the basis for how children grow, develop and learn. These values are passed on from one generation to the next.
A sense of importance and necessity, respect, responsibility, honesty, the ability to forgive, to teach how to be generous with attention, love, time, communication. This is what the family puts in every person. All that you have learned from your family becomes your system of values, on the basis of which your actions are formed.
A happy, joyful family life is not an accident, but a great achievement, often based on hard joint work and choice. Creating a family is a responsible act that will require a lot of time, effort, energy, and money from you.
